Chief Planner has
full access
to all the functions in the planning module. This role can add/edit/delete any plan/plan data/plan structure. Chief Planner can Create/Update/Delete SOP/SOG.
Viewers have
view-only access
rights in the Planning section. Viewers can view all Incident Plans, SOPs, and their implementation details but cannot add/edit/delete.
Resource Managers have
full access
rights in the Resource Management section. Resource Managers can add/edit/delete Resources, Qualifications, and Facilities for
any
agency. Resource Managers cannot view resources belonging to other agencies if they are not shared.
Agency Resource Owners have
limited access
rights to the Resource Management section. Resource Owners can add/edit/delete resources only for their
own
agency. They can view resources shared by other agencies, but cannot edit them in any way.
Resource Viewers have
view-only access
rights in the Resource Management section. Resource Viewers can view all resources associated with their own agency and shared by other agencies, but cannot edit them in any way.
Responsible Officers/Executives have
full access
rights in the Response/Daily Operations section. Responsible Officers/Executives can add/edit/delete/archive any Incident and activate Command Structures. They will receive all Incident-related messages not assigned to a specific recipient.
*A System Administrator
must assign at least one person
to this role in order to properly manage Incidents.
Only
Responsible Officers/Executives can create Incidents and activate Command Structures.
Incident Management Team Members have
limited access
rights to the Response/Daily Operations section. Team Members cannot add/delete/archive Incidents or activate Command Structures. They can
view
and
take action
in the Incidents they are a part of, once assigned to a Functional Position for that Incident in the ICS 203/207 Organization Assignment List).
Incident Viewers have
view-only access
rights to
all
incidents. Incident Viewers are permitted to view all Incident-related data (including resource tracking data) for all Incidents, but cannot edit them in any way.
System Administrators have
administrative access
rights over the entire system. System Administrators perform all administrative tasks, including:
- Add/Edit/Delete User Accounts
- Assign User Roles & Permissions
- Add/Edit/Delete Collaborative Agencies
- Define Command Structures and Functional Positions
- Define Master Resource List and Capabilities
Select this option for users that have permission to utilize Previstar CPS, but should
not
have any administrative access rights over the entire system.
System Administrators have administrative access rights over the entire system. Resource Manager Role has a limited access to the Resource Management module. They are restricted to add/edit/delete resources for their respective agencies. They can
only view
resources that have been added by other agencies and have been marked as Shared. They will not have any edit privileges for resources owned by other agencies.
Incident Management Role has full access rights to the Incident Management Module with the following exceptions. This role will not be able to Create/Delete/Arhive Incident or Activate Command Strcuture. This role is restricted to viewing and taking action in the Incidents they are part of, meaning they must have a functional position for that incident in ICS 203/207 (Organization Assignment List).
